When choosing a water transport, it is necessary to consult with a specialist who will advise you to ask the manufacturer a few questions. In this section, we want to provide information for potential customers who are contacting our company for the first time. More detailed information about our company is on the main page.
1. Boat glazing material and reliability
1.1. Bottom portholes are made of triple triplex. Three quartz glasses 3 mm thick. glued together with a film using the technology of automobile windshields (ordered from a specialized company). The total thickness of the triplex is 9 mm. In the boat position, the bottom porthole is 2/3 submerged in water. The height above the bottom of the boat is 150 mm, i.e. when hitting an obstacle (shallow, stone, slab, log) it is very difficult to catch the bottom porthole even in slime, and even more so to break it.
1.2. The side ports are made of acrylic cast glass 3 mm thick. transparent. The mechanical load from the boat hull is not transmitted to the glazing. The upper beams are made as large diameter pipes (300 - 400 mm.). Cabin portholes, which allow for a 180-degree view of the boat's movement, are made of 3 mm thick acrylic cast glass. smoky (tinted). In clear weather, the cabin is not visible from the boat. And inside the cabin, the glass is transparent.
1.3. The material of our boats allows for the repair of holes independently, "at home". Following our recommendations, you will be able to repair the consequences of hitting concrete slabs under water or boulders without special skills. Plastic is not afraid of small stones, gravel, sand.
2. Engine, power, recommendations
2.1. Our boats are equipped with an outboard engine with a rated power of Corsair 550 from 90 to 150 hp. s., on Corsair 700T, 700X from 140 to 250 hp. During water tests, the optimal power on Corsair 550 is from 115 to 140 hp., on Corsair 700T, 700X 175 - 200 hp. At these powers, the optimal ratio of speed and fuel consumption.
2.2. The maximum speed of our boats:
Corsair 700X - 85 km/h engine Ymaxa 250, river Dnipro.
Corsair 700T – 90 km/h engine Mercury 200, n. Dnipro.
Corsair 550 – 80 km/h. engine Suzyki 140, river Dnipro.
2.3. An engine of the required power according to our recommendation can be purchased in Kyiv.
3. Fuel tank
3.1. The fuel tank is located between the cockpit deck and the keel of the boat with the filler neck exit in the transom area. The tank is foamed on all sides with PPU, Polyurethane foam. It has a ventilation system and fuel level measurement. The volume of the fuel tank is: Corsair 550 - 100 l., Corsair 700T and Corsair 700X - 180 l.
4. Material and thickness of fiberglass
4.1. Our boats are made of fiberglass with a density of 200, 400 and 800 gr./m2 with epoxy resin filling. Most domestic and imported boats are made of fiberglass with the addition of fiberglass mat with polyester resin filling. In order for the strength of polyester plastic to be equal to the strength of epoxy plastic, the thickness of the former must be twice as large.
4.2. The thickness of the keel in our boats is from 20 mm. to 35 mm. And in the place of attachment of the frames up to 40 mm. The thickness of the transom is from 30 mm. in the area of the drain plug, up to 45-50 mm. in the upper part for attaching the engine.
4.3. The longitudinal redans on the bottom have a fiberglass thickness of 20 to 35 mm.
4.4. The cabin roof is made of three-layer fiberglass with a thickness of 50 - 60 mm. The bottom is also made of three-layer
vacuum molding. Three-layer plastic is: a layer of fiberglass with a thickness of 5 to 10 mm., then a layer of foam plastic with a thickness of 10 to 20 mm., and finally fiberglass with a thickness of 2 to 5 mm. After laying out, until solidification, such a sandwich is placed under vacuum for reliable bonding of the first layer of fiberglass, foam plastic and the top layer of fiberglass. In this way, greater rigidity of the hull is achieved at a lower mass. 4.5. Other hull parts have a thickness of 5 to 10 mm. And at the joints of parts from 15 to 20 mm.4.6. The gaps between the deck, gas tank and bottom are foamed with polyurethane foam (PPU).
5. Electrical equipment
5.1 The electrical circuit is powered by two batteries when the engine is not running. One of them is a backup. When the ignition is turned on, the backup battery is automatically connected to start the engine. When the engine is running, the batteries are recharged simultaneously by two. Battery capacity: Corsair 550 - two 65 Ah, Corsair 700T and Corsair 700X - two 100 Ah.
5.2. All lighting lamps are installed with LEDs (light-emitting diodes) for lower electricity consumption.5.3. When ordering the additional option "Microwave oven", an inverter (12 V 220 V converter) is installed and a computer can be connected.
6. Cabin and cockpit
6.1. The Corsair 700X and Corsair 700T boats are equipped with a cabin of a unique layout. In the bow there is a stationary berth, which can comfortably accommodate two adults and one child. The length of this berth is 2.2 m. Under it are a 125-liter tank for drinking water and 3 spacious chests for pastel linen and other necessary things.
6.2. The circular glazing of the cabin allows for an almost 360-degree view of the area.
6.3. Around the table on the circular sofa can accommodate 5 - 6 adults. The height of the cabin in this area is 1.55 m, this is with a closed small hatch.
6.4. The table transforms into an additional berth.
6.5. The presence of a sink with constant fresh water pressure and a microwave oven will allow you to quickly prepare food and then clean up after yourself.
7. Toilet
The Corsair 700X and Corsair 700T boats are equipped with a stationary toilet. It is located under the sofa behind the passenger seat in the form of a "transformer". The sofa rises on shock absorbers and the frame with the curtain rises on the shock absorber. The toilet is ceramic with manual flushing. As an additional option, you can order a toilet with electric or vacuum flushing.
